ARNO

Henry Bongard, known as Arno, came to music at an early age. Both of his parents were firmly integrated in the club scene earlier and had a big influence on Arno’s passion for music and DJing. His father worked as a journalist at Viva Germany and parallelly ran a small Cologne based vinyl label that was distributed by Kompakt Records.

In 2017, Henry co-founded PhonoVision together with his best friend and DJ colleague Johann Klement (HiHat). Both wanted to create a platform with a special selection of talented young and local artists. The legendary Basement Club Subway finally gave them the opportunity to develop freely.

With his energetic vinyl selection and razor-sharp mixing of fast old school breaks, driving trance and many other genres in the upper BPM range, Arno casts a spell over his audience.

DJ SWEET6TEEN

Lea Lang aka dj sweet6teen was born and raised in Aachen, Germany. At the age of 19, she moved to Düsseldorf. Within a short period of time, she noticed that the already well- established local scene was into a very specialized kind of electronic music, she couldn’t identify with. In 2019, she felt the urge to do something herself, started collecting records and playing at local venues – dj sweet6teen was born. In causes of several personal issues and being constantly unhappy in the city she was living in, sweet6teen intensely focused on her DJ-being, got her first club bookings at Gewölbe and Club Subway in Cologne and first met the PhonoVision crew in February 2020.

Shortly after, unfortunately, the first Lockdown has been announced. But instead of souring in quarantine, she connected with Cologne’s local scene and other collectives around the globe through the WWW, recorded DJ mixes and streams for various labels and radio stations, just fought herself through the pandemic situation without gigs and partys. Especially during this time, sweet6teen developed her sound into a very wide spectrum of electronic music. Started with Italo, Eurohouse and Trance, she had the vision of combining different genres and always has been very inspired by the early 90’s rave culture and what has emerged from this. It’s about finding something special in every style of music and create something new with it.

At the end of 2020, sweet6teen was part of the first MELT takeover at HÖR Berlin. Also, the friendship and musical interests between her and PhonoVision founders HiHat and Arno became stronger than ever. So, in March 2021, they expanded the team by welcoming Various Identities and dj sweet6teen as their new members. Later this year, she also released podcasts for Rinse France, Axe on Wax, Warning and many more.

Recently, sweet6teen also started getting into music production with her friends of $ONO$ CLIQ and is going to release her first EP at the end of 2021.
She’s definitely one to keep an eye on.

HIHAT

HiHat, who co-founded PhonoVision Cologne together with Arno, has been DJing since 2016 and is almost one of the scene veterans in Cologne despite his young age. At first his distinctive way of DJing was viewed critically, but now his style is being recognised in the Rhineland and beyond.

HiHat only plays records and aims to always be musically one step ahead of the scene. With his unmistakable sense for trends and quality, he keeps discovering genres or tracks from the 90s and early 2000s that have been forgotten or previously underestimated. The typical HiHat sound emerges from his creative, high-class mixing skills, and is clearly designed for the world's dancefloors: captivating, energetic and in constant development. No matter whether fast or slow, 4/4 or breakbeat - his presence at the DJ booth and his diverse style draw in every crowd and create an unforgettable rave. You can feel in every moment: HiHat loves what he does and gives his best for the music, his audience and an outstanding atmosphere. Over time, many younger local DJs have been inspired by HiHat's style and artistic courage, giving the scene a fresh, colourful look that has invigorated Cologne's club landscape.

VARIOUS IDENTITIES

Born and raised in Cologne, enthusiastic about the local scene, Xaver Strachwitz aka Various Identities became interested in electronic music at a young age. Influenced by his family and friends, he was part of the scene very early.

The long friendship between him, Arno and HiHat was also an important step for his current being and inspired him a lot when it comes to record collecting and DJing. With his friend Bruno, he started searching for new music, getting behind the decks and music production very recently. In addition of attending many partys around Cologne, he felt the urge to host

events together with his friends. Keen about the organisation and artistic work of party promotion, his experiences led him to start studying music management in 2019.

In 2020, Various Identities joined the PhonoVision crew together with dj sweet6teen. Since then, he has been able to present his ravy and energetic sound at a few events in Cologne. Always keeping an eye on what's going on, his sound is oriented on his very own direction. Focused on creating a voluminous sphere on the dancefloor, Various Identities sets lead towards a groovy, straightforward signature and take you on a multifaceted journey to different levels of rhythm and emotion.
